Famed baseball writer Peter Gammons (pictured here playing at the Hot Stove Cool Music fundraiser.) was in Studio A in December recording his debut solo record, with the all-star cast of Bill Janovitz (Buffalo Tom) on guitar, Phil Aiken on piano/organ, and The Gentlemen (Mike Gent on guitar, Ed Valauskas on bass, and Pete Caldes on drums)

The CD will be a mix of Gammons originals, hand-picked covers (Chuck Berry, Warren Zevon, The Clash) as well as contributions from Gent, Janovitz and Aiken, and is slated to be released this summer to benefit Theo Epstein's "A Foundation to be Named Later" charity.
